OUR STORY

The Great Vision Pentecostal Church and Ministry of People Shipping Centre was founded in 2003 in Tanzania by Rev. Daudi Msimbe, born out of a deep calling to serve God and raise a church with a transformative vision.

Officially registered in 2006 under the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tanzania, the ministry was established to oversee multiple churches and faith-based investments, laying a strong foundation for growth and sustainability.

In its early years, the ministry faced significant challenges, including financial constraints and limited support from sponsors and partners, which made it difficult to acquire permanent land. As a result, the church worshiped on leased properties for many years.

In 2014, by God’s grace, the ministry acquired its own land - though small and greatly challenged, it marked a turning point of faith and perseverance. Guided by unwavering belief and divine vision, Rev. Msimbe and the church continue to look forward with hope, standing on the promise of Scripture: “Enlarge the place of your tent, stretch your tent curtains wide, do not hold back” (Isaiah 54:2).

With this assurance, the ministry remains confident that the vision entrusted by God will rise higher and fulfill its calling.

OUR MISSION

The mission of the GREAT VISION PENTECOSTAL CHURCH AND MINISTRY OF PEOPLE SHIPPING CENTRE is rooted in the Great Commission, faithfully preaching and teaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ according to the Holy Scriptures, as commanded by our Lord Himself. The ministry is committed not only to proclaiming the Word but also to preparing, equipping, and educating believers to become effective witnesses of the Gospel in their families, communities, and nations. As Scripture declares, “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations” (Matthew 28:19).

To make the spread of the Gospel accessible and impactful, the ministry facilitates evangelistic meetings, crusades, seminars, and outreach programs in different regions of the country, including remote and underserved areas. Through these gatherings, the ministry seeks to redeem moral values and confront harmful cultural and tribal practices that contradict biblical truth, standing on the Word of God which says, “You shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free” (John 8:32).

Education is a core pillar of the ministry. Strong emphasis is placed on empowering all members through biblical teaching, leadership training, and practical education, recognizing that knowledge strengthens faith and promotes growth. As written, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge” (Hosea 4:6). Through Bible schools, workshops, and mentorship programs, believers are equipped to serve God and society effectively.

The ministry is dedicated to spreading the Word of God through every possible means, including preaching, teaching, literature, media, seminars, and practical illustrations that make the Gospel understandable and applicable to daily life - just as Jesus taught through parables (Mark 4:33-34).

In obedience to holistic ministry, Great Vision Pentecostal Church and Ministry of People Shipping Centre initiates and properly manages development projects that contribute to community welfare, national growth, and the sustainability of the ministry. These include hospitality services, schools, orphanage centers, and other faith-based initiatives, guided by wisdom and counsel. The Bible affirms this calling: “Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good works” (Matthew 5:16).

The Gospel is also taken to those often forgotten by society. The ministry reaches out to prisoners, offering hope, repentance, and restoration through the message of salvation, following Christ’s example: “I was in prison and you came to visit me” (Matthew 25:36).

Recognizing the global nature of God’s Kingdom, the ministry welcomes servants and representatives of God from all parts of the world for fellowship, training, and partnership. Likewise, it sends out pastors, evangelists, and missionaries to preach the Gospel across nations, fulfilling the mandate that “the Gospel must first be preached to all nations” (Mark 13:10).

Through all its work, the ministry actively fights ignorance, disease, and poverty by combining spiritual transformation with education, compassion, prayer, and social empowerment. This reflects the heart of Christ, who came so that humanity may experience fullness of life: “I have come that they may have life, and have it abundantly” (John 10:10).

OUR LEADERSHIP STRUCTURE

The GREAT VISION PENTECOSTAL CHURCH AND MINISTRY OF PEOPLE SHIPPING CENTRE operates under a structured and accountable leadership system established in accordance with its Constitution.
Rev. Daudi Msimbe, as Founder and Head of the Ministry, provides spiritual oversight, vision, and doctrinal leadership. He is supported by a Board of Trustees, which serves as the supreme governing body responsible for policy guidance, property stewardship, and protection of the ministry’s vision and assets.

The ministry further functions through Internal Affairs and External Affairs Committees, each led by an appointed or elected Chairperson, responsible for administration, discipline, partnerships, and external relations.
A Chief Financial Officer (CFO) TREASURER oversees financial management, accountability, and stewardship of ministry resources. All leaders are elected or appointed strictly in accordance with the Constitution and serve based on calling, integrity, commitment, and competence, under clearly defined roles, rules, and responsibilities.

This leadership system is guided by biblical order and servant leadership, ensuring transparency, unity, and faithful stewardship, in fulfillment of the Scripture: “Let all things be done decently and in order” (1 Corinthians 14:40).

We thank God for the registration of our ministry.

We are able now to do our ministry openly and freely,

also to share what we do with you, our friends and partners.

We have been working mostly inside church,

teaching and equipping church members with the knowledge of God's word,

so that they can be ready to go out and make others disciples.

We have been thinking of reaching more to the society now,

doing mercy ministries.

We are planning on visiting prisoners, the sick and the less privileged,=.

We don't have much to offer but we want to start with the little we have.

We know the love of God will manifest through us

and lives will be touched.

We want to do door to door evangelism

as well as visiting our local schools.

There are a lot of children and youth that we can teach Gods Word.

And we can also talk about youth stuff

like how to eat healthy,

and how to address some of the challenges they face as they are growing.
